The Ducati Owners Club of Victoria was formed in March 1976 by a group of enthusiastic and friendly Ducati owners who shared a passion for their motorcycles. Since that first meeting, the Club has developed into an organisation of around 300 members who all share that same passion for their beloved Ducatis.
The Club caters for bikes from all eras.  While many members own modern day Ducatis, there are still a lot of the older and rarer bikes tucked away in garages, sheds and the odd lounge room. The more modern bikes get out and about on the regular DOCV organised rides (usually at least one a month) to the various motorcycle friendly roads around Melbourne and it's environs while the older bikes, many with club plates, appear on occasions such as the Italian motorcycle concourse or one of the many breakfast get togethers.
The Club also conducts three or four 'fun' days each year at the very popular Winton and Phillip Island racetracks. These days are possibly the best organised of any track days. With a maximum of twenty bikes on the track at any one time and around forty bikes in total, it makes for plenty of actual track time.As well as the rides there are also numerous social activities. The monthly general meeting on the second Tuesday of each month (unless otherwise advised) at Bells Hotel on the corner of Moray and Coventry streets, South Melbourne.  The January bbq on the banks of the Yarra and breakfast get togethers at the various cafes in and around the St. Kilda area.The DOCV can also provide many services in the area of technical advice and assistance for both new and older model Ducatis by way of workshop manuals, parts manuals and specialist Ducati tools. There is also the wealth of knowledge and experience of Club members who are only too willing to assist wherever they can.
