FUN DAY INSTRUCTIONS
In order to ensure your safety and the efficiency of the day, it is essential that these instructions are followed.
The sessions will be starting earlier in order to maximise your time on the track. Accordingly, it is essential that all participants co-operate and follow all instructions.
Arrival
The gates will open at 7.30 am
Upon arrival you (riders and pillions) will be required to complete the Phillip Island Indemnity form at the gatehouse. You are required to show your drivers license so take it into the gatehouse office with you. All spectators will have to fill out a Spectator form.
Registration
BEFORE YOU UNLOAD YOUR MOTORCYCLE you will need to register. You will need your helmet for registration. Registration will be completed in one of the pit garages - just look for the garage with a table manned by a committee member (fluorescent vest) with the registration list.
At registration you will receive a sticker for you helmet that indicates your group and a post it note confirming your Fun Day Number.
Scrutineering
Only after you register should you unload your motorcycle (or prep it if ridden to the track).
Please roll your bike (don’t have it running) to the scrutineering pit garage (marked with the witches hats). Please bring your Fun Day Number verification with you (no need to bring your helmet).
BEFORE rolling your bike to the scrutineering pit garage ensure:
•tAll mirrors and lights (front and back) including indicators are taped up.
•tYour Fun Day Number is on the FRONT LEFT HAND SIDE of the bike and is clearly visible from 30 metres. Fun Day Numbers can be made out of cloth tape on the day – however, this must be done prior to scrutineering.
•IF YOUR BIKE IS NOT PROPERLY PREPARED YOU WILL HAVE TO MAKE GOOD ELSEWHERE AND RETURN TO THE BACK OF THE QUEUE – NO EXCEPTIONS
Scrutineers who are wearing yellow vests will check your bike for safety on the track and then apply a sticker. Without this sticker you cannot ride on the track.
Rider Briefing
The rider briefing will commence at 8.45am outside the registration pit garage - all must participants must attend.
If you are a first time Phillip Island Rider please attend the briefing ready to ride. Orientation lap will commence immediately after the briefing.
Slow Group will commence immediately after 2 laps of orientation ride - so you should also be ready to ride soon after the briefing.
Groups
We will be operating an additional group and there will only be one Pillion Session at Midday.
Groups will be confirmed upon registration:
Pit Garages
There will be plenty of garages available – however, they do come at a cost of approx $150 per pit. This cost should be shared by all sharing the garage (up to 6). First in first served.
Clothing:
Riders and pillions must wear leather motorcycle clothing on the track, as well as helmet, gloves and boots. Jackets must attach to pants.
Pillions:
One pillion session will be held so please notify us at registration with the name of the pillion if you are interested. There is no cost for the pillion but they must also complete a Phillip Island Indemnity Form upon arrival at the gatehouse and this form must be clearly marked PILLION. Pillions must be over 18 years old. The pillion helmet must also be scrutineered before the session starts.
