Ducati Owners Club of Victoria

General Meetings

We're not an overly formal bunch, so general meetings are conducted with a refreshing beverage in hand, a lot of laughs and they usually close with a raffle of Ducati or motorcycle-related goodies.

We meet on the 3rd Tuesday of every month (except January) at The Manningham Hotel, The Pavillion Room, 1 Thompsons Road, Bulleen (near the Bulleen/Thompsons Rd ramp on the Eastern Fwy).

Meetings start at 8pm and members are encouraged to arrive from 7pm for dinner and a chat with like-minded Ducatisti.

The Committee also tries to organise a guest speaker for each general meeting on subjects ranging from motorcycle first aid, fuels and oils, suspension set-up and slide shows of members' touring adventures.

All members, partners and anyone interested in joining the Club are welcome!

Annual General Meeting

The AGM is usually held at the June general meeting each year and includes the Committee position elections. Unlike many AGMs, DOCVs AGM is a fun night, we do what is required under the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012 but get the formalities over with as quickly as possible so we can spend more time talking about more interesting stuff!

Christmas Meeting

The December general meeting each year includes a few Christmas treats for members. The coveted title of DOCV Club Member of the Year is awarded, as is the award for Desmoto Article of the Year, and the raffle is a bumper Christmas prize!

January BBQ By the Yarra

We don't hold a general meeting in January, however, we do get together on the 2nd Tuesday in January (to avoid the Tennis mayhem) on the banks of the Yarra (GPS reference: -37.825608, 144.978966). Arrive anytime from 6pm. Just look out for the line of Ducati's and people sporting Ducati merchandise.

Closed Facebook group

DOCV hosts a closed Facebook group for DOCV members only to connect for all things club related - search for 'DOCV Ducati Owners Club Victoria'.

The Committee also uses the Facebook group to advise members of various club-related goings-on or changes to rides etc, and members use it to communicate about all sorts of things, including posts about DOCV and other bike-related events, interesting articles people have found on the interweb, Ducatis for sale (or stolen) and lots more.

Access to this closed Facebook group is on request and all requests are reviewed by the Administrator before being accepted.

The Facebook group is not moderated, so behave!

If you do join the DOCV Facebook group you must act responsibly and be respectful of others. We do not moderate the group but we may, in our sole and absolute discretion, remove any content submitted or posted by you which we consider inappropriate or not in keeping with the intent of the the group, or we may remove you from the closed group altogether.
In addition DOCV disclaims all liability and is not responsible for, and does not endorse any content submitted on the DOCV Facebook Group other than formal DOCV postings.

Instagram open to anyone

We also have a public Instagram account, which anyone can see. This allows people who are not yet members to get a sneak-peek at what kinds of things our club is up to and to be encouraged that we are a diverse and interesting group of 'normal' people with a shared passion for the Ducati marque.
